Hello!
I have one bedroom to let in a utterly fabulous 3bd/2ba. Its location is amazing, about halfway between upper Haight and Divisadero, and halfway between Buena Vista park and the Panhandle. The building is a remodeled Victorian, so the first half of the apartment is long and narrow (think like 50 solid feet of gorgeous wooden flooring and wainscoting), and then it opens up into a spacious, modern kitchen and separate living room (this accounts for probably about 1/3 of the apartment's length, so it's big). There plenty of large windows in every room to allow natural light in all day long. My favorite part of the apartment is that it has a wood-floor outdoor patio, bigger than any room indoors, and a large green garden area beyond ripe for the planting. It's just such a spacious, open place! Also, there is a coin-op laundry machine onsite, and street parking. And oh yes, did someone say dishwasher? :)
THE ROOM
It's a proper bedroom, about 10x12. There's a closet which runs the length of one of the walls, so it's deep and should have plenty of room for anything you have. There are two windows opposite each other, so you get natural but indirect light all day. Again, gorgeous wood floors and high ceilings as throughout the apartment. It is available as soon as you can move in!
YOU
There are only a few things about you that are musts.
* You must have proof of income or other financing at 3x the level of rent ($1200 per month, plus utilities). This isn't my stipulation, but the landlord's. Sorry!! Also, it's that amount ($3600) for move-in - first, last, and deposit.
* You should be happy having a kitty in the household - Ruckus is sweet and loveable, but she does like being around people i.e. you.
* No smoking. I do love fragrant candles though!
The lease term is negotiable. I have a strong preference for no additional cats (no dogs, sorry; other non-noisy pets are fine), since I'd have to have a long chat with the landlord. But if you're way cool then we can talk about it.
I love life and am passionate about living it well. It's important to me that our home is full of positive energy and people who want to make a positive impression on the world. I'd love to have as diverse a home as possible, and create a space where spending time with each other is natural because we genuinely enjoy each other's company.
Anything else is icing on the cake. If you relate to any of the following, we'll probably get along peachy: BRC, music (downtempo, acid jazz, psytrance, breakbeat, hip hop, jt), computers, international travel, eating, cooking, photography, swing dancing, tango, spontaneity, the beach, scuba diving, sailing, snow, rainy days, the mountains, forests, hiking, camping, art, architecture, design, wine, beer, good grammar and spelling, creativity, originality, building things, circus arts, live performance, shopping, anti-consumerism, movement, sitting still, revealing contradictions, "green" lifestyle, rainbow grocery, sustainability, eco-tourism, startups, hippies, extroversion, meeting people, debate, reading.
YOU WANT IN
To apply, please send an email to the above address answering the following question: What's your passion?
Sending me an email is your agreement that you fit all the "musts" requirements from above. If I find out along the way that you don't, I'll be very sad. I will probably not answer your email unless you answer my question :)
Thanks for your interest!
