Finding housing in the bay sucks. Paying $1,000 for half a room in a hacker house is more than some people pay for a 3 bedroom house (it might be in Phoenix, but still it's ridiculous).

That is all said to preface how surprised I was when I found this home. The price was average-ish but it came with so much more than anywhere else offered -- and I don't just mean the big house or amenities (wi-fi and 2x/mo cleaners are included with rent). I found my family, the people I hang out with and get along with. That's who we're looking to attract, someone who cares to join the family.

It's 1 room in a 5br/2.5ba house in Santa Clara for 990. Biking distance to Santa Clara University, Santa Clara Cal train, Intel and San Jose airport!.

1.5 miles to Santa Clara University, and a 10 min drive to Koreatown and Costco. Santana Row is 1.5 miles away and has a great variety or nightlife and shopping including the huge Valley Fair Mall.
