Great Bedroom in 4BR in Palo Alto (College Terrace), available Feb 15

Hello -

I'm giving up my wonderful bedroom in a great Palo Alto House just 2 blocks from Stanford. The neighborhood is called College Terrace and is quiet, close to Caltrain, Trader Joes, Stanford, restaurants, coffeeshops and the highway. I'll be moving up to SF for a few months, so the room is available from February 14th until May 27th (3.5 months). I'll be letting people come see the room/house this week and hopefully making a decision within the next few days, so please respond quickly. If the ad is up, the room is still available.

The room is a converted library and thus, has tons of closet space. It's around 10ft x14 ft large. There's a huge sliding closet on one side, and another double-door closet on the other side that you can almost walk into. It also has one large 5 ft x 4 ft window and another window on the side. Included within the 3.5 months of stay is a full size bed/frame/bedsprings and a large table (so you don't have to go and buy furniture unless you want to). The room is carpeted. Outside of the room, the house has hardwood floors throughout. The place includes:

-full kitchen with dishwasher
-washer and dryer in unit
-furnished living room, great for hosting
-a wonderful backyard that is fully fenced
-a garage that we use to easily store bikes or a car
-new kitchen appliances, such as a gas stove (important if you cook like me)
-4 bedrooms: 2 on the first floor, 2 on the second
-no pets or smoking, though the roommates and landlord may consider a pet
-Trader Joe's, Whole Foods and downtown Palo Alto are just a 10 minute bike ride
-5 minute bike ride to Caltrain
-right next to Stanford
-lots of storage space (two utility rooms and tons of closets in the garage)
-TONS of windows and great light, including a skylight in the kitchen

Currently, we are 2 medical students, 1 tech person and 1 PhD student. There is quite a bit of flux in the apartment, and only the PhD student will be staying during the duration of your stay. Overall, we like to cultivate a respectful but open environment in the apartment, whereby we all do housework, love to occasionally get together for coffee/meals and communicate openly (talk about house issues, let each other know if guests are coming, etc.).

There are two bedrooms upstairs (with one bathroom) and two bedrooms (with another bathroom) downstairs. You'd be in one of the bedrooms downstairs and would be sharing a bathroom with one other person.

Rent is $1100/month plus utilities which run about $100-$200 depending on the season, and you'll have to pay first and last month's rent upon move in. Also, you'd pay a $1100 deposit when moving in, which you'll get back at the end of May. Preference will be given to those who can move in/start paying rent on February 14th.
