I've an old Thinkpad T60 -- the screen turns purple/pink for a bit and then blanks out. This is a known issue with Thinkpads. I'm not sure if it's the backlight or if I'll need a new LCD. In either case, I was wondering if someone could help out with the replacement, since this could be tricky. I'd be glad to pay you a small fee.
