Itinerary (Flexible & Negotiable)
Departure: Tuesday morning, June 23rd. Leaving from the Stanford/Palo Alto area heading to Los Angeles (we can take I-5 for speed or US-101 for ocean views).
LA Stay (6/24 - 6/26): I will be attending a conference in Northridge during the day. You can take this time to freely explore LA (Hollywood, Universal Studios, museums, etc.).
Extended Trip (6/27 onwards): After the conference, depending on everyone's interest, we can stay in LA a bit longer, or drive to San Diego or Las Vegas for a few days.
Return: Drive back to the Bay Area together. The exact return date is flexible and can be discussed later, but we will head back no later than July 2nd.
Exclusive Cheap Housing Perk (in LA)
For the dates 6/23 - 6/27, as a conference attendee, I can book a fully furnished apartment on the CSUN campus (2 bedrooms, 1 living room, kitchen, private bathroom, 4 beds total).
The entire place is only $140/night! This is an unbeatable steal in LA. We can just split the cost equally. For subsequent stays in SD or Vegas, we can discuss and book together later.
🚗 Vehicle & Expense Splitting (Transparent & Budget-Friendly)
Vehicle: Toyota Camry Hybrid. Great condition, clean, comfortable, and very fuel-efficient, which will save us a lot on gas!
Daily Expenses: All gas, tolls, parking, and shared accommodation costs along the way will be split equally among us.
Mileage & Insurance: To cover vehicle wear and tear, maintenance, and insurance for the long drive, there will be a fixed flat rate of $0.10/mile (I will cover the base costs, so the mileage fee is just 10 cents per mile). This total amount will be split among everyone in the car.
Looking for Teammates
Leaving from Stanford/South Bay. Looking for 1-3 easygoing, communicative companions (non-smokers).
It would be great if you can take turns driving, but no worries if you don't drive! As long as we can chat, kill time, and have fun on the road, that's totally fine.
Luggage Note: The Camry is spacious, but trunk space is limited for a road trip. Please pack light (please let me know your luggage size when you text me).
