Looking for housing in SF, or a bike commute from SLAC

I'm starting a postdoc at SLAC in August and am looking for housing.

I'm from the Bay and am looking forward to moving back from Germany, for the friends, queer culture, music scene and nature (and the science, of course).
I'm hoping to avoid a car commute by living either within a 30-min bike ride of SLAC, or near a Caltrain station (Mission, Potrero Hill, Bayshore, etc).

A bit about me:

• I enjoy cooking and hope to have a good kitchen
• I'm a musician, but respect volume and time of day
• I would like to properly get to know my housemates, not just live in the same place
• I'm a fairly clean and organized person
• I'm nonbinary and go by "they".

My budget is very roughly $2k/month, moving in between 1 August and 1 September.
