We have one of our rooms opening up on January 1st (move in date could be bumped up a bit). We're on the top floor of an old Victorian right in the heart of the Mission. Our house is next to Valencia and alongside to some of the best restaurants & bars, 16th Street BART, MUNI and many of the major Tech Co's bus stops.
Our house is made up of three people. We are a Designer, Chief of Staff, and a Journalist all in their mid 20's. We are looking to add a fourth to fill the room of a departing roomie.
The room that is coming available is 10ft X 16.5ft so you'd have around 165 sqft. It has large bay windows and wood floors. The room is in the back of the flat meaning you'll never have noise problems at night.
The building in general is old but we are the first people to live in this flat after it was renovated. A redone kitchen with gas appliances is definitely a plus for anyone who likes cooking.
In general we're a hardworking group of people who enjoy a quiet apartment without any drama. There are lots of great bars around which we frequent but we don't tend bring the party back to the house. We do love getting to know people and are always open to friends and significant others dropping by as long as it's reasonable.
None of us smoke and the lease prevents us from having pets so we're aiming to keep it that way.
Water and garbage is covered with rent. Electricity comes monthly and fluctuates a lot based on time of year, but tends to come out to be $15 a month / per person. Internet is high-speed Comcast and is around $18 month / per person.
