We're looking for a 6th housemate to join our shared house in the Midtown area.
About us:
- 5 young professionals (average age is 30)
- 1 female, 4 males (we strongly prefer another female)
- we're outdoorsy -- enjoy hiking, biking, skiing, drinking beer outside
- we throw a house party a few times per year, go on backpacking and ski trips together and enjoy hanging out with one another
- we're all very easy going -- no drama
About you:
- looking for at someone to stay at least until June (when lease runs out), or longer
- Mid-to-late 20s or 30s
- non-smoker
- non-user
- non-dramatic
- can verify steady income
The room:
- unfurnished
- overhead light
- downstairs
- about 10x12
- shares a full bath with 2 other downstairs rooms (currently 1 male, 1 female)
The house:
- pretty big old place that's been added onto over the years
- "hardwood" floors
- washer / dryer in garage
- storage in garage and sheds in the back yard
- nice big back yard -- great for gatherings
- fully stocked kitchen (two refrigerators, many appliances, etc.)
- driveway fits 4 cars, ample street parking
- living room with half bath, flat screen TV, stereo, couches, etc.
The area:
- short walk to Philz, Starbucks, Sancho's, Safeway, 7-Eleven
- short bike to Cal. Ave. Caltrain station and Stanford campus
- really nice freeway access (a couple minutes to 101)
- super safe neighborhood
- never met any neighbors -- mostly quiet families
- it's suburbia -- we have a white picket fence, literally
Expenses:
- Comcast is around $28/mo.
- utilities are around $35/mo. in the summer, double that in the winter
- $1100 security deposit required
- landlord accepts Venmo (only in Palo Alto, right?)
