Looking for families to start a house share

Dear Stanford families,

We are a family of 3 - Tonia, Marc and Maya, our almost 7 month old daughter. Tonia is a postdoc the department of developmental biology at Stanford and Marc is a computational biologist at Genentech. We are from Switzerland and lived in Boston for 6 years before moving to the Bay Area in November. We enjoy outdoor activities, biking in particular, and we like to share good meals with friends.

For the past 4 months we have been sharing a house with 2 other families in Los Altos. We have been really enjoying sharing a home and the community but the location is too far south for us. We want to extend this experience of communal living and start another house share closer to Stanford; ideally in Menlo Park.

We are therefore looking for one or two families interested in renting and sharing a large house together. We will consider places with at least 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom per family, enough common space, and a garden. We expect the rent per family to be between 3000$/month (if 3 families) but no more than 4000$/month (if only 2 families). We want to start the process now with the hope of searching for a place together and moving in sometime in June/July. The initial commitment would be for a full year.
