Male Stanford PhD student looking for a roommate to take a room in my 2BR/1BA cottage style apartment, starting September 1. The rent is $1600 flat for the room, one year lease. The rent is a flat fee, no need to worry about utilities, water, internet, etc. All of this is included. The apartment is furnished, aside from the room for rent. The apartment has washer/dryer in unit. As found in the pictures, the cottage boasts an open concept living room and kitchen and a private patio and backyard.
The apartment is a short distance from campus (3-4.5 mi depending where on campus). I commute to campus every day by bicycle and enjoy the benefits of commute club membership. The route I take is through the Atherton/Menlo Park neighborhoods which are very nice. Biking to campus takes me 20 minutes door to door, although it can be done in 15 if I'm late for class. It is centrally located to I280 and the 101 which makes trips to the airport a breeze. Safeway, Whole Foods, Walgreens, CVS, and the like are all nearby. The area is also a hub for cycling and running.
This will be my second year in the apartment, it has been a great place to live! My previous roommate will be moving to the city for a job, so I am looking for another roommate moving forward. Please contact me if you are interested in the apartment.
