Master bedr. in shared house - Redwood city - $800/month - June-Sept.

I am subletting my room for the summer. The room is available from mid-June to mid-September but I am ready to consider shorter subletting period (minimum: 1 month).

The room is in a 5 bedrooms house in Redwood city right on the limit with Atherton, west of El Camino on the I-84 (25 minutes from campus either by car or bike - I personally bike to campus everyday) It is a master bedroom with a large sleeping area, a working area with large glass openings to the garden (very nice place to work) and a private bathroom. The room has its private door.

It is fully furnished with:

1. A king size bed;
2. Two shelving units and a drawer unit
3. Two one-person sofas
4. A desk with an office chair, a 24 inch screen and a small sound system.
5. A long side table (in front of bed in the pictures)
6. A closet.

I would remove my clothing and private papers from the room for the duration of the rental. I will also proceed to a carpet cleaning before leaving. Common areas include a big living room with a fully equipped kitchen (dishwasher, oven, gaz stove, microwave,...) as well as a garden with a small terrasse. I live with 4 other StanFord grad students (econ and physics) who are all friends and with whom I have never had any problem.

The cost is $800 a month + utilities. The rent includes bi-weekly gardening.

The only drawbacks are:

1. My roommates, while are usually pretty quiet (apart from the very occasional party like in any shared house), are not the tidiest guys which means the common living room is not always in its cleanest state.
2. The really low rent for the place comes with the string attached that the washing machine and dryer are located in the closet in the office area of my room. My roommates are allowed to use it during weekdays or on week-end (during the day) when I am ok with it (I can ask them to limit their usage to office hours during the week while you are around).
3. My roommates can ask to use my bathroom if theirs is occupied during the day and I am ok with it (this happens ones every few days because I often leave my door open) .

I find these a minor annoyance compared to the very low price/amenities and location ratio but you might think differently...

If you are interested, I might consider renting my car but it would imply a very large deposit...
