Master bedroom available in San Francisco 4BR house (Bernal Heights)

Welcome, prospective roomie!

Our house is in the Bernal Heights neighborhood next to the Alemany Farmers Market. We’re conveniently located near bus lines that travel directly to BART—the 23 to Glen Park and the 67 to 24th Street—and Cortland Avenue, a quietly active street with a public library, local (expensive) grocery, coffee (Pinhole is our favorite), and other shops and restaurants. The 22nd Street Caltrain station is about 15-20 minutes away by bike or car.

The sun-drenched house has two stories and three current occupants in their 20s and 30s. Brynn, an environmentalist working at the Cal Academy, occupies an upstairs bedroom. Jeff, an attorney, and Whitney, a postdoc at Stanford, occupy the downstairs bedroom. The available room is the upstairs master bedroom, complete with private bathroom. We share a spacious kitchen, dining room, living room, two-car garage, laundry, and small outdoor patio with a vegetable garden and flowering bushes.

We’re all fairly introverted people with serious careers, so the house is pretty quiet apart from some highway noise, intermittent joyriding in the farmer’s market and the very occasional house party. We're also active and enjoy trail running, cycling, hiking, camping, making music (Brynn), drinking beer and experimenting with new recipes.

Rent is $1400.00 for one person or $1650.00 for a couple, plus utilities, which usually run $50-65 per person.
