We are two robotics developers (one Stanford grad) looking for a replacement roommate in a three-bedroom apartment in Sunnyvale CA, near the 237-85 interchange. You will have a single room with an integrated non-shared shower and bathroom (master suite). There's a shared common area with a kitchen and a living room as well as balcony. There is only on-street parking, and we are a fifteen minute bike ride to both the Mountain View and the Sunnyvale Caltrain Stations as well as downtown Sunnyvale and Castro street. There is a pool and BBQ area, as well a very limited exercise room.
-Rent is $1400 per month (will be pro-rated).
-Your share of the utilities are around $100-$200 a month (but maximum was $250 in winter when it got cold) including high-speed internet, trash, water, etc.
-$35 application fee, but no deposit.
-We are looking for a person to move in on or after April 1st, preferably right at that time.
-You can split the room with another person if you want.
-There's no furniture in the room, but the common space is already furnished.
-Month to Month Lease. We'll require 30 days notice to move out. Any rent change will be split as a percentage - for example 10% raise would change you from $1400 a month to $1540.
-No pets, and no smoking.
-You will be added to the apartment lease. You will have to fill out all the paperwork and submit it to leasing office before you move in.
Note: in the interest of full disclosure, the photos are taken from the apartment complex website and are not of our exact unit, but the differences should not be material. Further, the outdoor area of the apartment has been upgraded. Also the floorplan is upside-down.
