I live in Oak Creek Apartments (building 1812) :
https://www.oakcreekapts.com/ .
This is 15 min walk to Stanford main campus. Also there is a marguerite bus stop (which has buses to take you to stanford every 30 mins on weekdays) right next to my apartment. There is a Marguerite shuttle that brings you back to Oak Creek at night (runs till 2am).
The room is completely furnished. I have been living here for the past 3 years and had a great time. However I am moving out now, and I'm looking to find a person who can take over the lease from me. I have been living with another lady Frannie (who is super nice and quiet and has been living here for 40 years). Actually I rent the room from her. But I have the main bedroom with its own bathroom (Frannie has her own bathroom).
You will be living in the main bedroom, and have your own private bathroom. The room also has a pretty big closet space. You will have access to the kitchen as well. Laundry facilities are available in the building. Oak Creek comes with a lot of perks - there is a gym, and a big swimming pool in the club house, which also has a tennis court. There are also other smaller pools in the apartment complex which you will have access to with the Oak Creek Id card. The unit also has an assigned parking spot - since Frannie does not have a car, you will be able to use it. Please look through the website https://www.oakcreekapts.com/ for the full list of facilities that you will be able to enjoy at Oak Creek.
Rent: You can either be a single person (male or female), and the rent is $1800. Frannie will also consider two females for $2000 (however note that there is only a king sized bed in the main bedroom). The rent includes utilities like internet, electricity, and water. However if you use the room heater a lot during the winter months, you may need to pay ~$50 extra for the electricity (Frannie would let you know if the electricity bill is too high...I needed to do this for ~3months last year). You will pay the rent directly to Frannie, and she pays the rent for the whole unit to Oak Creek (this is something that you can also work out with her).
You can move in to the apartment earliest by 20 Sept, 2019.
