$2,500
Short term sublet available of entire 2 bed / 1 bath Porter Square apartment for Sept 19 - Oct 12 (+/- a day or two). $2500 for the full window, including utilities and basic household supplies.
Dates available: Sat Sept 19 - Mon Oct 12 (indigenous peoples day); since we have a guest room, we can host you for an extra day or two gratis if needed on either end. Must be available to meet in person at the apartment on or before Sept 19 for tour, vibe check, and key exchange.
Beautiful, sunny, 1100 sq.ft apartment, the third floor of a classic Victorian triple-decker in Somerville right on the Cambridge line. Comfortably furnished with a loungey living room, a separate dining room with seating for six, an unusually large and updated bathroom, a main bedroom with a queen size bed, and a second bedroom / office with a full size bed. Large east-facing porch full of plants; enjoy the end of our tomato harvest! Kitchen is fully stocked in terms of appliances and essential tools, and free laundry is in the basement. Very comfortable apartment for two adults! If your group is more than two people or includes children, let's talk about how that might work.
Apartment generally contains a cat, a big orange fluffball named Vincent. Our current plan is for Vincent to stay with friends during our travels, but we are open to other arrangements if you'd be interested in pet sitting for a reduction in rent. If Vincent is staying elsewhere then we are open to a pet staying with you, with a significant damage deposit.
We are located one block away from Porter Square, where you will find the T (metro), a large supermarket, a bookstore, coffee shops, restaurants, a CVS, and several gyms. Also a ten minute walk from hip Davis Square, which has an independent movie theater and several lively bars and music venues. On the train you'll be one stop from Harvard, three stops from MIT, and about 25 minutes to downtown Boston. We're also a few blocks from a mixed use community path which provides great walking and cycling access to Boston in one direction and historic suburbs like Lexington in the other direction.
Note: we have no off-street parking. We do have a pair of guest parking passes, but they can only be used for a couple days at a time. Also note that this is not an airbnb, this is our home, and is full of our belongings. For the storage of your belongings, we will clear out a wardrobe, the bedside tables, a pantry cabinet, a bathroom shelf, and a shelf of the fridge – but it's a big apartment, there's plenty of places to put your things.
