Private Entry Bedroom in Menlo Park Walking Distance to Stanford

THE ROOM:

$1170/mo. rent for a spacious 13' x 14' bedroom with a private entrance. The bedroom includes a built in desk with keyboard drawer, lots of shelving, storage and a large huge built in closet with sliding doors. Utilities and household expenses (including electric, gas, water, garbage, high-speed internet, lawn maintenance, and every other week housecleaning) come to $280 per person (this is in addition to rent). You'll have access to the hallway bathroom (shared by one other housemate) and garage for extra storage if needed. You can see the windows of the room in the last photo (private entry is a couple feet to the right of the window (not shown). Please note this room is only available unfurnished.

THE HOME:

Major cross-streets are Willow Rd. and Laurel Street in Menlo Park. The house is over 2000 sq. ft. with wood flooring covered by beautiful rugs. All the bedrooms are all carpeted. There are two bathrooms located close to bedrooms. We have a large central living room with a 75" HD TV home theater system for movie nights, a large kitchen with new gas range and refrigerator, dining room with huge 8-person table, dedicated laundry room with new washer and dryer, and a beautifully landscaped backyard with comfortable outdoor furniture. There is enough parking in the driveway to fit a maximum of five vehicles. There is no overnight parking on the street due to Menlo Park ordinance.

THE LOCATION:

Home is located 3/4 mile from Menlo Park CalTrain station in easy walking/biking distance. The neighborhood is upscale and very safe with large trees lining the streets. Paved sidewalks allow for relaxing walks anytime day or night, with Burgess Park just a few blocks away. It's only minutes away from downtown Menlo Park, Starbucks, multiple grocery stores, restaurants and shopping. Walking distance to Stanford and 15 minutes biking to Facebook. There's easy access to the 101 fwy and El Camino Real.

HOUSEMATES:

Including you, there will be a total of five housemates. We have a tech professional, two post-grads and a post-doc research scientist working at Stanford. Out of respect for others there are no overnight guests allowed.

YOU:

We're looking for a respectful, tidy, male housemate (due to shared bathrooms). You must be responsible to pay rent and utilities on time each month without exception. As mentioned above, all utilities are split between five housemates. With five guys living in the house, you must be the type to clean up after yourself, keeping all common areas clean (especially the kitchen and bathrooms) and free of personal clutter. The house is a smoke-free and drug-free environment.

WHEN:

The room is available for move-in on October 1st (maybe sooner if needed).
