After living for two years in this amazing household I have to move on and so we are looking for a grest new housemate for our 4-bedroom 3.5-bath house on the border of Palo Alto and Mountain View.
DATE AVAILABLE: ~15th October
LOCATION: The location is convenient for everything you could want. The house is right off of El Camino (but set back enough to not have street noise), a couple blocks north of the San Antonio Shopping Center. It's a 10-15 minute drive or 20-25 bike ride to Stanford, downtown Palo Alto, Sand Hill, downtown Mountain View, Google, etc. It's less than a 20 min walk to the San Antonio Caltrain station, and there's a bus a block away that runs to Palo Alto Caltrain or to San Jose. It's also walking distance to a bunch of restaurants and stores around the San Antonio Shopping Center. There are 6 groceries- including the amazing Milk Pail Market- within a few blocks.
THE HOUSE: It's a three-story townhouse that was built about ~3 years ago and is absolutely beautiful. I moved in here two years ago and was amazed at how great the space was for the price. There's central A/C throughout the house. There's a huge common space with a great kitchen (all-new appliances, dishwasher granite counters, etc.) and living room (big TV, the comfiest couch you will ever experience). The bottom floor has a single bedroom and the garage only; the common areas are on the second floor and the other three bedrooms (including the master) are on the third floor. There's also a washer and dryer on the third floor. The living room and kitchen, as well as all kitchen items like cookware, are shared. There's a balcony and a private ground-floor patio, plus a grill area shared by the neighbors.
There are 12 townhouses in the complex, mostly families. Parking is easy in either shared spaces in the driveway of the complex or on the street. There's a garage (parked in by other roommates) where you can store a bike.
THE ROOM: The room is on the third floor, unfurnished with a separate bathroom that is shared with one other housemate. The room itself is well lit, quite spacious with plenty of room for a queen bed and other furniture. There is a large closest with plenty of space for clothes, and we also have additional storage space in a downstairs closet and the garage.
THE ROOMMATES: There are 3 female roommates. One is a 30 yr old middle school English teacher and two are 25 and they work in banking. All are social but also enjoy being laid back at home, and relaxing watching TV in the common living room. We're all decently neat but don't mind a bit of clutter. A fantastic cleaning team comes every two weeks. More than anything we're looking for a good fit for our great household.
THE RENT: The rent per month is $1494 plus utilities, internet, and cleaning (normally ~$100-150). There is a security deposit of $2593.
