Room available in large 2BR/2BTH in MP, 10 min bike to Stanford! $1320

We are looking for a housemate (one person or a couple) for the second bedroom in this beautiful spacious apartment. It is on the second floor of a small house in a very quiet neighborhood (corner of Santa Cruz Avenue and Fremont Street in Menlo Park). Downtown Menlo Park and Trader Joe's are just a couple of blocks away, Safeway a short bike ride, 10 min walk to Menlo Park CalTrain.

You will be renting the second bedroom which is not furnished, has a built-in closet, a bathroom and additional storage space across the hallway. There is also a balcony and a lot light, especially in the morning. You get full use of the shared kitchen but light cooking is preferred. The unit has a washer and drier downstairs, a storage unit (you can lock your bike there) and an open air parking space. Our landlord doesn't allow any pets.

Lease starts October 1st and is for one year. The rent is $1320 + utilities (internet, electricity and gas, your share would be about $50 in the summer and $75 in the winter). Deposit is also $1320 to be returned when vacating the unit. If needed, we could negotiate for you to move in earlier temporarily (you would have to stay on the couch) and move to the bedroom on October 1st after our current housemates move out.

We are a couple from the Czech Republic aged 33 and 30, a postdoc in the Chemistry department and a student administrator at the International Center at Stanford. We mostly work, go to the gym, hang out at home in the evenings and sometimes travel over the weekend. We are looking for someone who is tidy and organized, we expect you to clean up and keep the place nice. You should be a good and easy communicator.
