We're looking to rent out a single unfurnished bedroom in a fun Menlo Park house. Current household is a couple (a female PhD student at Stanford and a male post-grad), a male post-doc at Stanford, and an awesome border collie-mix dog and a friendly, soft, good natured cat who loves to cuddle. Mega bonus points if you're a dog person, or even just have experience living with a dog.
The room is available starting July 1st. It is unfurnished, approximately ~10ft x 11ft, with a closet. Ideally, we'd like to find someone who is interested in staying in the house a year or longer.
Most importantly, we are looking for someone who is fun, friendly, and wants to socialize. We don't really have any rules or chores -- basically you clean up after yourself and respect other people and their belongings. Not so hard. :-)
The house has an amazing front yard with fruit trees (apricot, pomegranate, fig, peach) and rose bushes, fenced in backyard with a patio and storage sheds, and inside has an expansive kitchen with gas stove, dishwasher, and refrigerator. There's also a high-efficiency washer & dryer and a large living room with lots of natural light. There's one bathroom with an amazing shower, toilet and sink, and a half bath with just a toilet and sink.
We split the rent on the house and your share would be $1150/mo. Other bills include water / garbage / electricity / internet and a bi-weekly cleaning service.
There is a security deposit of $1150 due at sublease signing.
