Room in large 2-BR apartment on College Ave (Palo Alto)

Hi everyone,

I’m looking to sublease one room in my 2-bedroom, 1000-square foot apartment on College Ave (Palo Alto) to a female roommate beginning on November 1. The room itself is 12' x 12' with a closet along one of the walls and a large window with a nice view of College Ave. We would have a shared bathroom, kitchen, storage closet, and pretty large living room. The laundry room is conveniently located in the same building (right next to this unit).

Our apartment’s location is fantastic. It’s two blocks over from California Ave's restaurants, grocery stores, Sunday farmers’ market, Caltrain station, and Stanford Marguerite bus stops. Many of the residents on our street are Stanford postdocs, grad students, and employees because the location is ideal for a short bike or bus ride to campus. On top of that, we live in a very safe and quiet area with extremely nice neighbors.

Ideally, I'm hoping to find a roommate who:
(1) is neat, very clean, and respectful,
(2) doesn't smoke or do drugs, and
(3) doesn’t have pets.

I’d prefer to find a longer-term roommate (e.g. someone who could stay for a year or so), but I'm open to discussing a shorter-term arrangement. The rent is $1450/month with an equivalent, upfront security deposit. Utilities add about $50/month.
