Roommate search

I just graduated from Stanford (M, mid 20s) and am a visiting scholar at Stanford now and I also work for a company in the bay area. I am looking to rent a house starting from mid August (that's when my lease at Stanford ends) somewhere in Palo Alto or Mountain View (or any place south that's less than a 20 min drive - with traffic - to Stanford). I am hunting for roommates now - I am especially concerned about cleanliness and noise. I prefer the roommate to share similar concerns too.

I'm thinking of getting a fairly spacious 2BR apt with the roommate if I can find one, for a lease of atleast 6mo-1yr.
