Share in sunny, spacious, charming 2-bedroom house

Spacious, sunny room available in a two bedroom Palo Alto house in a quiet
neighborhood two blocks off El Camino Real and Page Mill. The house is
within easy walking distance of California Avenue shops, supermarkets
(Country Sun and Molly Stone's), restaurants, Fry's, Caltrain station, and
Marguerite shuttle stops to the Stanford campus and medical center. 10-15
minute bike to Stanford University or a few minutes' car ride.

The house has hardwood floors throughout, a living room with TV, two
sofas, and a coffee table, a large kitchen with appliances, pots, dishes,
etc, a garage for lots of storage, washer & dryer, and a large backyard.
There is one shared bathroom. The available bedroom is 13' x 10.5' with
built-in closet. It is available either furnished or unfurnished. It
has a private entrance to the porch and backyard and is quite sunny. The
backyard gets mostly full sun and has room for planting a substantial
garden (currently nothing has been planted in the garden area). Parking
is available in the driveway and on the street (there are always spaces
available).

The room is available starting in February. I am looking for someone who
is responsible, clean, relatively quiet, and a non-smoker/no drugs. No
couples or families please. I am a male, mid-30s and work as a postdoc
at Stanford University. I am pretty laid-back. On weekdays, I work from
home about half the time and am on campus the other half. On weekends,
I enjoy hanging out with friends (hiking, dinner, movies, etc).

No pets please.

Rent is $980 (utilities not included), plus a security deposit of $900.
Utilities, etc are shared (i.e. gas/electricity/water/garbage/recycling
and cable/wireless internet). Short-term rentals are a possibility, but
long-term (6 months or more) is preferred.
