Single room available near downtown Palo Alto co-op starting Jan 1

We are a group scientists, musicians, grad students, post-docs, engineers, poets, hikers, dancers, readers, and travelers in our 20s and 30s who live together in a co-op in Palo Alto. We’re currently looking for lgbtq- and poc-friendly housemates to join our home who are excited to contribute to and help shape a vibrant community.

We have a furnished single room available for $1175 starting Jan 1, 2020, with communal spaces shared with ~7 others. We are looking for a minimum 6 month lease. Longer term community members are preferred.

We enjoy:

• Eating together! We cook 4 shared vegetarian dinners per week (we each cook one night a week; you don’t have to be there for all of them). All diets welcome. We accommodate vegans too!
• Saving money by sharing groceries!
• Talking big ideas, or little silly ones. Nerding out, hiking and biking, game nights, nature excursions, jam sessions, and the like!
• Inviting others to join in the things we like to do.
• Sharing! Food, and ideas, but also work (chores!). We want to build a community in which all are welcome, and are committed to learning from all of our members what works for them. Some of our values are: hospitality, learning, egalitarianism, cleanliness, fairness, and sustainability.

In addition to the shared room, communal spaces include a living room, a big dining room, a new kitchen, and an outdoor patio and yard. Laundry and parking on-site. No smokers. We have biweekly custody of a soulful and cuddle-loving dog, Kaya.

First month and last month's rent + security deposit required.
