Hi y'all!
If you're interested in the room, please feel free to email me directly at mirakorb@gmail.com!
Our 4 bedroom/2 bathroom house in Palo Alto has a single room opening up for rent starting any time from August 1 - Sept 1 2020 (I am super flexible on the move-in date, which is why I have provided a range). The monthly rent is $1,325 + bills (utilities and internet).
The Room:
- The room has hard wood floors, as well as a wall with floor to ceiling windows that lets in lots of nice natural light and has a view of the garden.
- It is very spacious and can easily fit a king or queen size bed, as well as a desk, drawers, night stand and bookshelf.
- This room is definitely big enough that it can be comfortably shared with someone else if you are looking to live with a partner/roommate.
- It shares a full, modern bathroom with 1 other respectful, professional housemate who is currently a resident at Stanford Hospital (female).
- It has a private entry to the backyard.
- The bedroom can come either furnished or unfurnished (I currently have my bed and drawers still available if you would like to keep them with the room).
- The house common areas (living and dining room) are fully furnished.
- The kitchen has a wide range of appliances and dishware/silverware that we happily share (blender, toaster, baking trays, waffle iron, etc.)
-There is a large closet with a washer and dryer. The access to the washer and dryer closet is through the room so whoever is in the room needs to be comfortable with the other housemates coming in to do laundry at scheduled times set by the housemate living in this room. I personally have never had a problem with this since all my housemates have been very respectful about my room and my schedule.
Rent:
- Rent is $1,325 and includes the room (unfurnished or furnished), access to the rest of the furnished house including kitchen, and storage shed (for bikes and suitcases).
- Additional costs include utilities (~$60-90/person a month) and 1GB high-speed Internet (~16$ a month)
House:
- This Eichler house is a spacious 2000+ sq ft and has hardwood floors, a spacious kitchens, two separate living rooms, lots of natural light and an open floor plan.
- The kitchen has granite counter tops and shared appliances including a stove and oven, fridge, dishwasher, toaster and microwave.
- There is one sizable, fully furnished living room and dining room area with an open floor plan and nice natural light. Includes a dining table, comfy couch set, coffee table, TV, side tables and fireplace.
- There is a smaller more private living area with a leather sofa and armchair
- 60-inch Samsung TV
- Large LG clothes washer and dryer in the house
- Free street car parking, tons available in front of the house and no through-street traffic.
- Storage shed for parking bikes and storage
- Backyard patio with a grill, outdoor table and chair set and space for reading, lounging and working out

- Biking distance (~20 min) to downtown Palo Alto on the same bike boulevard)
- Easy access to tech HQs such as Palantir, Google, and Facebook.
Housemates:
- A female resident working at Stanford Hospital. She enjoys hiking and being social.
- A male PhD student in geophysics at Stanford University. He enjoys working out, running, cycling, watching UFC and cooking.
- A researcher at a lab at Stanford University, although she has moved out and is looking for someone to take over her room as well (so if you are interested in moving in with another friend, this is a good option).
We are looking for another professional/grad student, non-smoking housemate who is ideally laid-back, social, respectful and clean in common spaces. Either male or female is fine. Pets are allowed as long as they are ESA-certified.

Please email me to share your interest in the room, ideal move-in date and what you are looking for, and the best phone number to reach you out so we can schedule a call with you to share more information on the house and to schedule a tour of the room and house. I am happy to do either Zoom/Facetime or in person tours!
Thanks so much and looking forward to hearing from ya!!
