Spacious Room Available in Redwood City House - July through October

Hello SUPost'ers!

We have a spacious room available for sublet in a nice 4 BR house in Redwood City near the Jefferson/Alameda intersection at the base of the Emerald Hills. It’s available July 1 through October, at which time our current roommate will return from an overseas program. The room has hardwood flooring and tons of closet/storage space. The rent is $850 a month. The room will come furnished with a queen size bed and bedside table. Your housemates would be 3 adults (two females and one male, late 20s - early 30s) in addition to another property-mate who lives in an in-law suite in the back. We are all either Stanford grad students or professionals and it's important for us to find a really good fit! There are also 2 dogs on the property- an older lab in the house and a shepherd mix in the in-law out back. We can't have any more pets- sorry!

The house has 2 BR and a bathroom on each floor, and the room available is on the first floor. You would be sharing the floor/bathroom with me. I'm a 32 year old male and I work as a Research Fellow at Stanford. I enjoy hiking, riding bikes, skiing, motorcycles, watching sports/movies, cooking and enjoying life. I am open to a male or female floor-mate as I’ve lived and gotten along with all sorts of folks.

Everyone in the house is a pretty low maintenance and outdoors-y type, and we try to get together for dinners/drinks/bbq'ing when possible. There is a nicely groomed, green backyard with a lemon tree (and one of the property-mates is growing some other fruits and veggies that he always offers to share!); a small storage area and some storage bins in the yard (but really, not ideal for someone with a ton of stuff); a nice kitchen, living room and laundry room (all hardwood floors downstairs/carpeted upstairs); and street parking. We have Comcast high-speed internet but no television service (we do stream programs on a flat-screen in the living room though). Utilities (water/sewage, gas, electric, internet) are about $100/month each.
