ADU Rental Exchange for Dog Care and Overnights

We are offering a beautiful Spanish revival, private Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU) studio completely rent-free in exchange for dedicated pet sitting and care for my two loving Newfoundland dogs.

The ideal candidate must have experience and love giant breeds and have a flexible schedule (such as working from home or working nights) to ensure my dogs get the attention and care they need. I have a standard work week but travel often.

THE EXCHANGE:

• You get: 100% free rent in a small private ADU. All utilities are included.

• We get: Daily feeding, medicine and supplement administration, brushing, exercise, companionship, and overnight care for my two Newfoundland's when I travel. On occasion, we may need help with a trip to the vet, dog park, or groomer in our car.

ABOUT THE DOGS:

• Two gentle giant Newfoundlands (very sweet, high drool, low energy but need daily short walks).

• They require someone strong enough to handle large breeds on leash and comfortable with daily grooming maintenance.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be able to walk at a modest pace up to 2 miles per day.

• Proven comfort/experience with large or giant dog breeds.

• Background check, references, and a signed housing/care agreement required.

• No additional pets allowed to keep the environment stress-free for our dogs.

• Non-smoker preferred.

• Street parking only.
