Sunny bedroom (converted study) in house near Stanford. 10 minute walk to Stanford campus or the California Street Caltrain station. 9 minute bike ride to The Oval.
The house features brand new appliances in the kitchen and bathroom as well as top-of-the-line amenities throughout. The bathroom features a bathtub with massaging jacuzzi vents. The kitchen features a dishwasher, microwave, and stainless steel refrigerator. The living room features a fireplace and is furnished with two couches and a variety of other seating options. The laundry room has a brand new energy efficient washer and dryer. The house has a lovely porch and front yard, and ample space in the two-car garage for cars, bikes, and storage. The energy-efficient heater and eco-fitted windows keep utilities pretty low throughout the year. Although the common areas are already furnished, but we welcome other furniture/appliances/”stuff” too.
You would be living with two awesome Stanford-affiliated roommates--one is a first year Stanford grad student (female), the other is an education professional who designs online courses (male). In addition, you will be sharing the space with a small friendly and fuzzy dog. Everyone in the house is pretty busy, but we try to get together occasionally for brunch and board games. Everyone picks up after their own mess with house-wide cleaning sprees every once in awhile. Things are shared equally between all housemates and we all take turns buying shared items like toilet paper and dish-washing soap. The house is LGBT-friendly.
Your room is a converted study at the front of the house and will come unfurnished. We are looking for someone to move in Jan 1, 2014 but can be flexible with the date if you are interested in moving in earlier. Rent is $900 per month and utilities (electricity, water, sewer, trash, and high-speed internet) come out to about $30-$80 per person depending on the month. We are looking for someone who can stay until at least September 2014, possibly longer.
Please tell us a little about yourself (including social media link like Facebook) and what you are looking for.
Thanks and we look forward to hearing back from you soon!
