Room:
Large master bedroom with private bathroom (roughly 15x15) is available for sublet in our 3 bedroom house. There may be a possibility to rent the room with furnishings. $990 per month plus utilities and internet; cable is also available if you'd like. There is a garage and basement for storage, washer and dryer, and a large backyard with a garden, lemon and persimmon trees, compost, and a patio with grill. The house is on Alameda de Las Pulgas, about 3 blocks from the Dutch Goose, a 12 minute bike ride to campus, and easy biking distance from downtown Menlo Park and Palo Alto.
Roomies and habits:
The common areas are shared with two Amazing roommates who are working on PhDs at Stanford, both of whom like (and are good at) cooking. As the weather improves there may be an increase in backyard BBQs. The house is friendly to both veggies and non. We get a bi-weekly CSA box which you are welcome to split with us if you are interested. The house is kept fairly clean but no one is uptight.
Damien lives upstairs and is studying Ghanaian traditional medicine in the anthropology department. He has a flexible student schedule so is in and out all day but is laid back and quiet. He's a vegetarian and makes big veggie / tempeh dishes in the evenings.
Rohit lives on the ground floor, has completed an MD program and is working on a PhD in Neuroscience. He leaves early to work hard in the lab, plays racquetball, soccer, or basketball in the evenings, and then comes home to cook spicy curries and pastas. He is an a member of the Ridge wine club and takes us to some of their tasting events.
Dates:
