My roommates and I are looking for a fourth. I live with 2 other guys and we live in a 2 Bedroom - 1 bathroom apartment in Menlo Park. It's reasonably close to Stanford, is right by the Menlo Park Cal Train station, is within walking distance of the Safeway, aaand is in close proximity to two swimming pools and a recreational park. The apartment itself is pretty spacious as well.
We live right by the tracks and because of that our rent is lower than the surrounding area. But this is more of a statement on Menlo Park than it is on the noise of the train - its not bad at all and so it's a win-win situation for us.
The rent for you would possibly range from $600 - $900 / month depending on how long you planned to stay.
