Female Stanford alumna and working professional looking for a compatible roommate to share an artisan home in Northern Los Altos. The roommate needs to be respectful, clean and congenial. Strong preference for someone who is looking for long-term housing. No smoking, pets, and drugs are allowed.

This three-bedroom/2.5 bath is an oasis, located in the heart of Silicon Valley. This home is centrally located. It is less than 1 mile from quaint downtown Los Altos (3 minutes driving or 15 minutes walking). It is equidistant between 280 and 101; and it is a 15-minute drive to Palo Alto and Mountain View. This home is located in a safe, friendly neighborhood. All neighbors know each other on the block and there are annual potlucks.

This posting is not for a room to rent but rather for a roommate to share this beautiful home. The renter will have her own room (12ftx12ft) and private bath (shower and tub). She will have full access to the living room, dining room, kitchen, patio, office (3rd bedroom), patio and grounds (11,000 sq. ft). She will have adequate storage in all of the common areas. Off street parking is available on the wide driveway. The bedroom is furnished with a plantation-style, canopy bed and mattress, an oversized chair for reading and mahogany/tiger eye oak dressers (the furniture can be vacated if desired).

This spacious, upscale 2,000 sq. ft. house has rustic, hand-crafted furnishings accented by academic paintings and sketches, a professionally landscaped garden, and plank-style oak flooring. This home was gutted by my grandfather and completely remodeled with bay windows overlooking the garden, an open-concept floor pattern that allows flow from the kitchen to the dining and living room, a gazebo for a retreat and handmade cabinetry. The house is Northern-facing and is flooded by the warmth and cheer of California sunshine.

The house is maintained by professional gardening, pest control, and cleaning services at no cost to the lodger. The kitchen appliances are recently installed and there is wifi, cable, and a wireless printer/copier/scanner/fax machine.
