Looking for housing in Austin – moving in September Hey! Still haven’t had much luck finding a place, so trying here again. My friend and I are looking for a place in Austin starting September, preferably a sublease or flexible lease for around 4–6 months. Budget: $900–$1,100 total/month 1B is fine if it’s reasonably spacious; 2B would be great Prefer somewhere safe with decent access to downtown We’re both students/recent grads, clean and respectful We’re into EDM/raves, fitness, and meeting new people, so being around other students/young professionals would be a plus If anyone has a room/apartment/sublease available or knows someone looking for tenants, please DM me. Thanks! · submitted by /u/thehonouredOne9 [link] [comments]

Hello! I’m an incoming CAP student starting at UTA this year and wanted to ask for some advice from anyone who successfully made it to Austin through CAP. · For anyone who transferred to UT through CAP, how likely is it to get into Economics? I know it isn’t guaranteed, but advisors have been telling me that as long as you have a 3.7+ GPA you have a high chance. I’m not sure how reliable that is. · For housing, when did y’all start looking for an apartment for your second year? Are there any apartments or areas you’d recommend or avoid? I know dorms will be extremely hard to get, so where would y’all recommend living since I’ll basically be a freshman? · For people who are living off-campus near UT, how did you find roommates? · Also for any CAP kids who joined a sorority/frat, what was the process like for you? Was there a stigma around CAP kids, or were people chill? · Literally ANY other CAP advice, tips, or things you wish you knew going into your first year would be super helpful!:) · submitted by /u/Specialist-Raise4006 [link] [comments]
