24f looking for housing near palo alto (RWC, mtn view, san mateo, sunnyvale)
Looking at an apartment complex that does not include ANY utilities, not even trash or sewer, so just trying to get a grasp on how much that'll run us and if the cost of this apartment is really worth it. So we'd be covering PG&E, water, gas, trash, and sewer. It's a 750sqft 2br with a window A/C unit, and there will be two people living there. If anyone has a rough idea of how much this would run us I'd really appreciate it. I know PG&E is wildly expensive but I've seen quotes anywhere from $50/mo up to $300+/mo so I really have no idea what's accurate, and I have no idea what all the other utilities will run us on top of that. Thank you! · submitted by /u/shelterdoggone [link] [comments]
What do your TOTAL utilities usually run?
Hello any current or former SJ residents I’m about to start a job in SJ in about 2.5 weeks and it’s around 70 miles from where I currently live so I was thinking of just moving there. · I’ve been looking online, but I also wanted to see if anyone has any recommendations on what apartments to look at as maybe there’s things that aren’t disclosed online. · After taxes I will take home $6,600 a month, I am single, I am looking to take my 2 dogs with me (they are small, less than 25 lbs), I am looking to rent alone. I don’t really go out so I don’t need a whole lot near me. · My budget is 3k a month. I know this is half of my income, but for SJ I realized it’s fucking expensive and hard to get 1/3 of income especially if solo. · TLDR Looking for apartments recommendations ~3k Budget (negotiable) Have 2 dogs I don’t need a whole lot near me (I don’t go out much) I don’t mind a small commute to get something near my budget · submitted by /u/Loli_Boi [link] [comments]
Looking for Apartment
Hi all. I'm unexpectedly being displaced from my current family housing situation and urgently looking for somewhere safe to land. · I'm primarily looking for something short-term ideally around 1–2 weeks while I continue working on a more permanent housing solution. I'm pretty independent and mostly keep to myself. I'm actively working with local healthcare/housing-navigation programs, pursuing benefits, and looking for work while I get back on stable footing. · My budget is unfortunately extremely limited right now, so I'm primarily looking for something free or very low-cost as a short-term bridge. · I'm happy to talk by phone/video first, meet beforehand, and answer reasonable questions about myself. · Strictly looking for housing. · If you have a temporary space available, or know somebody trustworthy who might, please DM me with the general location, how long it might be available, and what you'd need financially. · Thank you. · submitted by /u/mrcodym [link] [comments]

Hi there, · I’ve been looking for an apartment the past month or two now and I haven’t had much luck. Planning on moving into a 1 bed 1 bath apartment in ideally North Beach, Marina, Pac Heights, or Nob hill. Our budget is $3,800 and we’ve toured and applied to many but the landlords have gone with other applicants as we usually get in our applications a little too late. We’re both young professionals with stable jobs and a total household income of about 175k. · I’m moving in with my sister who lives in Nob Hill temporarily to hopefully find places that aren’t posted online or and instead just have a for rent sign posted. · As someone who is from Los Angeles and has only knowledge online about the SF rental market, is it realistic to think I’d be able to find an apartment this way? · submitted by /u/NoDraft7988 [link] [comments]
