Hi! Our family is looking for a caring, attentive mother’s helper/assistant. Ideal person: someone (female) who is reliable, trustworthy, and who enjoys organizing. That is exactly the kind of help we are looking for. No childcare needed. Our house is a tidy, clean, cozy single-family home in Sunnyvale 94086. Work scope includes tidying up living spaces, dishes, laundry, recycling, and light clean-up, and some other miscellaneous tasks depending on the week. We have regular cleaners and a mopping robot, so no deep cleaning required. The work could take somewhere between 1.5 and 3.5 hours, twice a week in the morning, preferably. For example, 9:30 am-11:30 a.m. every Monday and Thursday. Exact days and times can be flexible. This role is a blend of dinner prep, evening childcare, and household staging. On evenings when parents are home, we like to "tag-team" the routine (for example, a parent handles bath time while you tackle kitchen cleanup, or vice versa). Core Responsibilities: Meal; Next-Day Morning Prep: Assist with family dinner prep (chopping vegetables, prepping ingredients, occasionally simple cooking), Prep for the next school day (pack lunchbox/water bottle, check backpack, pick out clothes with our son). School Pickup (As Needed): Pick up our son from school in Menlo Park (dismissal up to 5:30 PM) on days we are held up with work. Evening Routine: Assist with feeding dinner, bath time, and bedtime transition, either independently or alongside a parent. Kitchen Cleanup & Light Household Tasks: Wash/load child's dinner dishes, wipe down counters, and put away leftovers. Take out trash/recycling and tidy up bath and play areas. Occasional Flexibility (Optional, but Preferred): Availability for occasional evening or weekend babysitting or morning support with advance notice. Looking for a caring, dependable coach to help 14-year-old high school student to stay on top of his schoolwork. He's a curious, sharp kid and strong in math. Like a lot of gifted kids with ADHD (mostly the inattentive kind), he does the work, then forgets to turn it in. We're looking for someone to be a steady, encouraging presence through two short remote check-ins a day: about 15 minutes in the morning to help him plan and get going, and about 15 minutes in the evening to make sure the day's work is finished and, most importantly, actually submitted. We want someone who can understand what this kind of executive-function challenge is like, who can build trust with a smart teenager, and who sees the value in helping him close the gap between what he can do and what actually gets turned in.
