About our Speaker: Josué Zapata, MD, MBA is an Associate Professor of Clinical Medicine at UCSF and Deputy Chief of the Medical Service at the San Francisco VA Health Care System. He also serves as Assistant Chair for Leadership Development in the UCSF Department of Medicine. Dr. Zapata earned his BA from New York University and his MD and MBA from Harvard. He completed his internal medicine residency at UCSF, where he served as Chief Resident. As a hospitalist at the SFVA, his work focuses on leadership development in academic medicine, quality improvement, medical education, and advancing diversity in healthcare.
