Hello, I am a Stanford Physics PhD student and Teaching Affiliate. I am offering private tutoring in physics and math for students ranging from middle school through advanced undergraduate coursework. My tutoring style focuses on helping students build a deep, lasting understanding of the material rather than relying on memorized formulas or procedures. This makes problem-solving feel more natural, reduces frustration, and helps students develop the confidence and independence needed to perform well in their classes. I have experience tutoring a wide range of students, from middle-school math and science to college-level physics. I am especially well suited for students who want rigorous, patient, and individualized instruction from someone with both advanced subject expertise and classroom teaching experience. Please feel free to contact me at ams01@stanford.edu or 540-718-9286 if you would like to learn more or see my resume. Alec

I offer an approach to tutoring which focuses on building a deeper, longer lasting understanding of the material, as opposed to memorization of formulas. This approach is much easier for students because it prevents unnecessary frustration and confusion, and ultimately is the best way to get an A. I have successfully tutored a wide range of classes using this method from the middle-school to college level. If you would like to reach out to learn more or to see my resume, feel free to contact me by email at ams01@stanford.edu, or by phone at 540-718-9286. Alec
