Vin Yin yoga includes a slow yoga flow, yin postures, pranayama, & guided meditation. Postures will move from the floor to hands-and-knees to standing and feature a gentle and slow flow between yoga postures, followed by a sequence of yin postures that are held for a few minutes to release connective tissues and promote deeper relaxation in the body. This drop-in style class is suitable for most ability levels, and a range of props will or can be utilized to support and adapt the practice. A general prerequisite to fully engage in the class includes the ability to bend knees, bear weight on the hands, and get onto and up from the floor.
For this class, Jason Yaich will provide an acoustic sound bath. Jason is a songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, and has enjoyed his passion of creating melodies for over thirty years. He brings ambient, soothing, relaxing, and centering musical accompaniment to yoga classes that complements the natural flow of the class.
