Viruses cause, or highly associate with, Burkitt lymphoma, cervical, gastric, and other cancers.
The World Health Organization estimates that 9.9% of cancers are attributable to viruses.
How about breast cancer?
Our group needs help investigating this question.
Minimal cancer or virus experience required; we're examining the question from first principles so minimal bias is a plus, not a hindrance.
Ultimately, our goal is to advance cancer research by generating genomic, transcriptomic, and proteomic data for 1K TNBC (triple-negative breast cancer) tumor samples. The data will be offered to Stanford, Harvard, and UCSF PIs to power new studies.
You will assist with lit review, primary analysis, paper writing, and publishing.
