Hi, I am a 25F Stanford research coordinator looking for a female roommate to move in around August 1st to a 2B1B unit in the downstairs of a duplex in Menlo Park, since my previous roommate is moving out.
Location:
- Menlo Park, ~ 15 min drive to Stanford
- Trader Joe’s Menlo Park ~ 10 min drive
- Costco Redwood City ~ 7 min drive
- Close to major roads/freeways (101 South, 101 North, etc)
About the Apartment:
- Located in the downstairs unit of a beautiful yellow duplex surrounded by a fence, with 2 bedrooms and 1 shared bathroom
- Lots of fruit trees, flowers, and plants in the front and back garden
- Available bedroom has two large windows with natural sunlight looking out into backyard garden (relatively secluded), ample closet space
- Very quiet and safe neighborhood
- Plenty of natural sunlight
- Laundry (washer and dryer) in garage
- Marble floors in common room and kitchen with tile countertops, stove, oven, small dishwasher, fridge, freezer
Details:
- Target move-in date: sometime around August 1, 2026
- Lease is month to month (preference is towards someone planning on staying a year or longer)
- Rent is around $1500 a month, TV and internet is around $30 a month, and PG and E/utilities is around $120-150 a month per person depending on the usage (though it is sometimes lower depending on the month)
Roommate Preferences:
- An ideal roommate is another female young professional or graduate student to move in who is reliable, responsible, clean, quiet, and respectful.
- Cats are fine and welcome!
A little about me:
- Have been living here for a year and plan to stay for at least a year longer
- Very clean, quiet, responsible, and respectful
- Value open communication about any potential issues
- Friendly/sociable but also introverted and like alone time/recharging in my room
- Don’t have any pets but am a cat lover and don’t have any allergies
- Will occasionally have friends/family over but won’t be throwing parties or any large gatherings
